Biographical Info

Neil P. Borad, MD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology and Assistant Attending Anesthesiologist at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the The College of New Jersey. He earned his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. Dr. Borad completed his residency in Anesthesiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he served as chief resident in his final year of training. He also competed a fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center in Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine. 

Dr. Borad is actively engaged in medical student, resident, and fellow education. Dr. Borad serves as the Assistant Director of Education (Operations and Informatics) where he implements and develops systems as they are used in the running of education and clinical operations missions.

Dr. Borad has received multiple awards for education, including the Marjorie Topkins NYP Teacher of the Year and the NYP Role Model of the Year in 2025.

Dr. Borad spends most of his clinical time performing regional anesthesia, acute pain medicine, thoracic anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, and general anesthesia. He is proficient in ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and catheter placements of the upper and lower extremity as well as the chest, abdomen, and back.
